Excessive vertical overlap of upper front teeth over lower front teeth.
Overbite should be detected and corrected at an early age as it can cause:
- abnormal and excessive irreversible teeth attrition or wear
- traumatic gum loss (gum recession)
- reduced face height and ‘overclosed’ profile.
